Abstract (EN)
There are steel construction applications in our country. Steel material is preferred especially in industrial structures due to its high strength, elastic design possibility, lightness, earthquake resistance, long life and sustainability, prefabrication, providing precision production opportunities and faster construction. Considering the effects of earthquake on the structure today, the area of use of steel construction is increasing day by day especially for different types of structures in earthquake zones. The importance given to sustainable materials is also increasing with the increase in environmental awareness. Considering that economic opportunities are also increasing day by day, it is foreseen that steel construction structures will continue to increase in the future. For this reason, studies carried out for steel construction are also increasing. In these studies, alternative design methods are tried to be determined as opposed to classical design, and considering that existing structures are built according to the conditions of the time, their performances are also examined according to today's regulation norms. Considering that the regulations change day by day, it is seen that some of the existing structures cannot meet today's regulation conditions. In order to ensure the safety of life and property, these structures must be rebuilt or properly strengthened. In this context, a parametric study was conducted to determine the effect of steel trusses strengthened with post-tensioning ropes on the steel structure under horizontal and vertical loading. In this study, firstly, the post-tensioning rope design type was tried to be determined and then, considering the optimum post-tensioning rope load, the behavior of the proposed reinforcement rope type under loading was examined. As a result of this study, it was tried to determine what kind of effect the post-tensioning rope effect has on the section effects and steel construction design. It was also discussed whether it can be used as a method for strengthening existing structures.
