Abstract (EN)
In this study, a broad-band ultrasonic transducer has been designed by using 3 MHz piezoelectric crystals. Before beginning the design, mechanical and electrical behaviors of piezoelectric crystals are explained in details by considering their relations between them. Then, the properties of the ultrasonic waves and their production by using piezoelectric crystals have been investigated. By giving the equivalent circuits, which are used in modeling transducer produced by using a piezoelectric crystal, necessity of impedance matching to have broadband and system sensitivity is explained. Then, stages of design are expressed. As a result, the impulse response of the system obtained from transducer is given.
