Abstract (EN)

Digital communication systems are those systems that transmits digital data from one point to another with a minimum error using code division multiplexing with particular protocols designed for multiple access. In these systems the phase, frequency and amplitude of carrier are keyed at higher frequencies to produce symbols that represent digital data codes and sends these symbols through communication channel. Afterward via resolving these symbols into digital codes symbolic communication is achieved. Shortly, this technology is called Wide Band Code Division Multiple Access (W-CDMA) system. Many studies have been performed and being executed on analyzing the performance of the symbol chosen, in other words the modulation carried out by keying, for transferring the data through the communication channel. Moreover the noise rate interfering to the signal through the communication channel and the error arose from this rate is being a matter of wonder. In this study W-CDMA system is expansively explained and the change of bit error rate (BER) with respect to signal to noise ratio (SNR) through communication channel was analyzed with regard to the symbolic modulations such as BPSK, PSK and QAM. From this point of view, the obtained results were evaluated and a comprehensive error analysis for symbolic modulation in W-CDMA system was accomplished.
