Abstract (EN)
In this study, broad-leaved trees' felling operations by performed by chainsaws (cut, fell down, branch cutting, cut-to-length) activities of the forest workers which were examined. The aim of the study is to determine the working conditions of the workers, the working efficiency under these conditions and the physiological workload of each worker in the wood raw material production areas of broadleaf trees. For this purpose; each of 30 different workers cut 30 trees (beech, oak, chestnut, sycamore and hornbeam) by using chainsaw and measurements were made for total of 900 trees. According to the BMI values, the categories of the workers are 53% are "Overweight", 30% are "normal" and 10% are in the "mild thinness" category in the workplace conditions where the research isconducted. When the average physiological workload (HRR) of these workers is classified according to their values, the level of work in slaughtering activities; it was found to be "extremely heavy" for 6 workers, "very heavy" for 7 workers, "heavy" for 8 workers, "medium" for 5 workers and "light" for 4 workers.
