In the traditional family structure, male dominance is predominant. This dominance is also observed in the political arena. Women participate in the public domain as an extension of their traditional domestic roles. The lack of women both qualitatively and quantitatively in politics stems from social norms based on gender. When it comes to the media content and production, underrepresentation or misrepresentation of women can be also observed. In the case of TV series called Hatırla Sevgili (Remember Darling), this research concentrates on the representation of women in terms of political participation at the fictional level.
