Abstract (EN)

In this research, it is aimed to determine the place of geometric shaping approach in Turkish painting art and to examine this approach in the art teaching process of the period. The study is a qualitative research based on the descriptive survey model, and written sources (book, thesis, article, paper, encyclopedia) related to the subject were used with the method of literature review. In line with the subject, the starting point of the geometrical shaping approach, which started from the traditional and reflected on the contemporary works in Turkish painting, and the works of the artists who applied this approach were examined. Turkish painters, who were educated in Europe and in the workshops of Leopold levy, Andre Lhote and Hans Hofmann in the Sanayi-i Nefise School, and who adopted the concepts of form, volume, space and structure as well as the solid pattern education they received from these artists, positively affected the art education of the period with their cubic and geometric understanding conclusion has been reached
