Abstract (EN)
The thesis aims to examine the use of cellulosic fibers in geopolymer mortars as well as to reuse the wastes that cause environmental pollution. For this purpose, industrial waste silica fume and basaltic pumice (scoria) were used in the production of geopolymer mortars and were supported with wastepaper fibers. In order to determine the physical and mechanical properties of the produced samples, the flow diameter, fresh state unit weight, true density, apparent density, water absorption, open porosity, total porosity, compactness, compressive strength, bending strength were obtained by using the relevant tests and formulas. By comparing the obtained data with the control samples, information about the effectiveness and usability of cellulosic fibers in geopolymer mortars was obtained. The highest flexural and compressive strengths were obtained from the 10M mixture containing 2% fiber as 7,62 and 14,38 MPa, respectively.
