The main aim of this study is to provide exercise and research proposals on the challenges determined by the opinions of instructors while playing the Op. 65 Cello Concerto No. 4, used in cello education. The population of the research consists of cello instructors working at the Faculties of Education, Divisions of Music Education in Turkey. The study is descriptive and general scanning model has been used. Data have been gathered by means of a questionnaire prepared upon the opinions of experts. Contact has been established with 21 Universities out of 24 which provide cello education and 22 cello instructors from 20 Universities have responded in total. In the study, the composer and the era of the piece have been mentioned, and demographical qualities of the cello instructors who teach in the Faculties of Education in Turkey have been updated. This research is important in terms of gathering suggestions and opinions of instructors on Goltermann Concerto No. 4 and providing a source of information for people who may need it. According to the data obtained, it has been revealed that all the instructors are undertaking their Master?s Degree, most of them graduated from Gazi University, 20 out of 22 instructors are permanent staff, all use Georg Eduard Goltermann Op. 65 Cello Concerto No. 4 in cello education, most agree that the piece is the first student concerto, they coach the whole piece and prefer the Schott Edition; and additionally, the passages which are more challenging to students have been determined.
