Özet (EN)

The main purpose of this research is to determinate the properties of G. F. Handel Violin Sonata Op.1, which has an important place in violin education repertoire in terms of its technical and musical characteristics. It is also aimed that violin educators and students should benefit from the result obtained through this researc and thereby to controbute to music educatin in Turkey.In the study three sonatas were selected at random out of six sonatas in the ? 15 Sonata da Camera? . These are; No. 14 - A Major Sonata, no. 12 - F Major Sonata, and no. 10 - G Minor Sonatas.Technical analysis of selected works was made in terms of the right hand ( bow), the left hand (finger) and pozition transition and musical analysis was made in form of table analysis. The results obtained were evaluated and interpreted in terms of technical and musical aspects by means of decriptive methods. Expert opinion was also referred to where necessary.Using the data obtained through analysis and the decriptive studies, the playing and interpretation characteristies were determined. The researh is considered to be suggestive in nature. In the light of the findings of the technical and musical structure of the Baroque period violin works and playing interpretation.
