Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted in 2018 in Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture. Gerbera cut from Gerbera flowers were used as material. Different solution applications (Control (Pure water), Sucrose (6%) + Pure water, Sucrose (4%) + Vinegar (6%), Sucrose (6%) + Carvacrol (150 mg / lt), Sucrose (6%) + Carvacrol (200 mg / lt), Sucrose (6%) + Thymol (150 mg / lt), Sucrose (6%) + Thymol (200 mg / lt), Sucrose (4%) + Sodium hypochlorite (5 mg), Aspirin (5 mg) + distillate water, Gibberellic acid (100 ppm), Gibberellic acid (200 ppm) Gerbera sp. vase life, proportional fresh weight, total vase solution intake and daily vase solution intake parameters of. The study was set up to be 1 cut flower in each parcel with 3 replications, according to randomized parcel trial design. At the end of the experiment, it was determined that all parameters examined on gerbera flowers of different solution media were statistically significant. The longest vase life in Gerbera flowers was obtained from Sucrose (6%) + Thymol (200 mg / lt) application (19.50 days). The proportional fresh weight change was highest in Sucrose (6%) + Carvacrol (150 mg / lt) application (23.60%). When the total vase solution intake parameter was examined, the highest solution intake was measured in Saccharose (6%) + Thymol (200 mg / lt) application (67.40 g / branch). Daily intake of vase solution was determined by sucrose (6%) + Thymol (150 mg / lt) cut gerbera application (7.60 g / twig). It was concluded that the different solution media used in the study had a direct effect on the vase life and other parameters of the solutions containing sugar and essential oils.
