Abstract (EN)
In our country floods take place as a second natural disaster after an earthquake. Floods can cause death and economic crisis. There are specific studies for preventing from flood and decreasing the damage after flood. In this study 2D flood analysis of Geyve Karaçay Stream are made by using Hec-RAS programme. During this study variety of synthetic and possibilty methods are used. Flood flow are calculated according to Mockus and Log-Pearson Type III tecniques. By using Log-Pearson Type III techniques precipitation and according to this return period discharge flood flows are calculated by using Mockus tecnique. Unsteady flow analysis for study area are made by using flood flow. As a result of analysis flood inundation maps are created for each repeated flood flow. These maps show that centre of Geyve and fertile agricultural land are submerged. Flood inundation maps are also helpfull for determining possible water depth.
