Democrat Party Period deputies in Giresun and their assembly activities (1950-1960)

In Turkey, the Republican People's Party has the sole power between the years of 1923-1950. Republican People's Party, ruled the period of transformation taking place in Turkey at that time, the flow of new ideas and conflict has emerged as a tangible form of a reflection. The Republican People's Party has been the government that imposed change within the country from the beginning. This situation paved the way for the birth of opponents and the transition to multi-party life against the Republican People's Party. There have been attempts to transition to multi-party life before fully engaged in this political lifestyle. The first step of multi-party democratic life was taken with the National Development Party, which was established on 18 July 1945. Later on, on January 7, 1946, the Democrat Party, which played a very important role in Turkish political history, was established. The Democrat Party entered the parliament by winning 62 seats in the 1946 elections. In the elections of 1950, they came to power alone. The government of the Democratic Party ended with the military coup of 27 May 1960. The Democratic Party, has also been effective in Giresun, Turkey, as in many cities. All of Giresun between 1950-1960 entered the parliament from the Democratic Party list. The majority of Giresun congressmen in the Democratic Party period were elected as rulers in all three terms. Many of them actively worked in parliament. In this thesis, the curriculum vitae of the deputies of Giresun and the parliamentary activities are tried to be investigated.
