The importance of entrepreneurship and determining the entrepreneurial tendencies of associate degree students: A research on associate degree students of a foundation university in Istanbul

Today, in the new world order, the concept of entrepreneurship is becoming increasingly important in ensuring social welfare and balancing development between regions. Despite the uncertainties in environmental factors, entrepreneurs with qualities such as innovation, decision-making, critical and creative thinking and risk-taking have an important place in the development of modern civilisation. In this context, it is important to carry out studies to increase the entrepreneurship potential of the youth of our country in order to follow the developments and changes in the world. Education is indispensable for the acquisition of entrepreneurial qualities. However, with the arrangements in the field of education, it may be possible to transform today's students into successful entrepreneurs of tomorrow. The aim of this study is to determine the entrepreneurship levels of students studying at Istanbul Kent University Vocational School. Characteristics such as risk-taking, creativity, innovation and independence are considered as important factors to determine one's potential. These characteristics show the useful and important skills of the person and can be used to determine their potential. In this context, questionnaires were conducted with associate degree students studying in different departments and the results were evaluated.
