Abstract (EN)

Aim: The aim of this study was to compare the IDH mutation and MRI findings in patients with Glial tumors. Materials and Methods: Retrospective file scanning was carried out between 01 / 2012-12 / 2018.Brain MRI was performed in the Department of Radiology of Hafsa Sultan Hospital in Celal Bayar University and IDH mutation status and imaging findings were retrospectively evaluated in patients with pathological diagnosis of glial tumor. In addition, IDH1 result, disease stage, diagnosis year and lesion area of the patients were screened and recorded in the system. Results: 93 patients were included in this study which evaluated the possible correlation between IDH 1 wild mutations and ADC in glial tumors and the mean age was 56,80 ± 14,10 (median 59 years).Glioblastoma was the pathological diagnosis of 62 patients (66.67%) and diffuse astrocytoma in 9 patients (9.68%). The lesions were frontal in 35 patients (37.63%), temporal in 25 patients (26.88%) and parietal in 22 patients (23.66%). In the IDH mutant type, stage 4 was higher (88.89% vs. 28.57%) and the mean age was higher than the Wild type (59.85 ± 13.29 vs. 46.33 ± 11.79).The mass ADC value of the wild type was greater than the mutant type (1.26±0.28 vs. 1.22±1.43).The patients with anaplastic astrocytoma had a higher ADC than the other patients. The ADC value of patients with giant cell glioblastoma was lower than the other patients. Conclusion: As a result, although ADC values provide information about IDH mutation and histopathological types, it is thought that the relationship will be more obvious in studies conducted in larger sample groups and more homogeneous tumor types. Keywords: ADC, IDH, glioblastoma, MRI, mutation
