Philosophical evaluation of the concepts of global modernity and modernity

Today, the world has the appearance of a pluralistic order, in which contemporary discussions of identity and difference are at the forefront, and philosophies about raising awareness of the existence of the other emerge. As a matter of fact, the wars and destructions caused by the hegemonic attitude of modernity in the 20th century necessitated the questioning of modern authority. The critical discourses that emerged against the absolute discourses of modernity problematized these absolute discourses. Therewith, the nature of modernity has also become ambiguous. These criticisms offered the opportunity to go beyond modern domination and open up to difference. However, modernity, which has been criticized for its demands for difference, has incorporated these criticisms into its body and developed a different practice of objectivity within a new thinking practice that also includes differences and has become global. In this case, global modernity does not mean the disintegration of modern hegemony, but rather its reshaping through discourses of difference.
