Abstract (EN)

Migration and human relations are at the core of urbanization problems. Although migration is a displacement movement, it is the movement that affects people from every direction. Looking at the past from day to day, it is observed that migration movements have an effect on urbanization. Movement towards the mound, which is expressed as a movement of people or communities to short or long distances by abandoning the places they live in due to economic, educational, political and mandatory reasons, has started in Turkey since 1950 due to socioeconomic reasons. Urbanization problems in Turkey, caused by the migration that started in the 1950s, have gained a distinct impetus after 1980s, but nowadays they are among the most important problems in Turkey. Migrations directly affect the speed of urbanization and have an adverse impact on urbanization. Migration movements from rural areas to urban areas affect cities in the negative direction if there are not enough residential and business opportunities in the cities. Intensive migration movements in cities; Uneven urbanization, increased crime rates, infrastructure and transportation problems and unemployment. This study investigated the effect of immigration on urbanization and investigated how immigration and urbanization, especially after immigration and urbanization, had an impact on urbanization in Kütahya. Keywords: City, Urbanization, Migration, Migration Movements.
