Early Bronze Age jugs of Gokceada-Yenibademli Hoyuk: Its development and interactions with neighboring cultures

This work was prepared as a Master's Thesis. In the Early Bronze Age, the excavations in Yenibademli Höyük, which is located in the province of Gökçeada, Çanakkale, which have similarities with the settlements of Aegean islands such as Limni, Midilli and Chios are officially started by under the scientific responsibility of Prof. Dr. Halime Hüryılmaz in 1996. Three culture fills were identified in the mound: the period of the Greek Origin citizens, the Late Bronze Age and the Early Bronze Age. Jugs seized at Yenibademli Höyük, where the Maritimes Troia I Culture was seen, were examined for their purpose in terms of their diversity, connections and differences in their clays, forms, ornaments and surrounding settlements for the purpose of understanding the location of the settlement in the Early Bronze Age and its overseas relations. As a result of the studies carried out by us, a new typology has been formed by dividing the Yenibademli jugs, which were uncovered between 1996 and 2015 and dated to EBA II, into 6 major types and 24 subtypes. By looking at the forms and the periods they were in, they were searched and compared in the contemporary settlements of Anatolia, the Aegean Islands, the Balkans and continental Greece, and their development and interaction with neighboring cultures were emphasized.
