Abstract (EN)

In this study boron contamination in underground water in Gölbaşı has been searched, underwater quality and contamination statement have been exerted also contaminant elements have been determined. Undergroundwater qulity and contamination statements have been exhibited due to the boron ingredient. Andesites, basalts, limestones, conglomeras, lacustrine limestones and alluvial deposits which are the formations constituting the searching area have been exerted. Laboratory analyses of underwater samples taken from the search area are analyzed by using ICP analyzer. Later on outcomes have been interpreted. It is concluded that in some areas, boron concentartion data obtained from laboratory ananlyses are remarkable. In the search area, underground water quality is unfavorably affected because of the contaminations arised from preliminary boron bearing litological formations such as andesites ands basalts. It is thought that areas where the boron concentartion increased are related with local volcanic activity as boron source, water body like lake as dissolver of boron compounds, underground water is contaminated by contact of magmatic rocks.
