Late Chalcolithic cultures in the Lake District

"Late Chalcolithic Cultures in the Lake District" is examined and presented within the scope of this study. First of all, the researches that were carried out in the Lake District and its vicinity are examined to evaluate the subject. In the light of these studies, the settlements that are thought to belong to the Late Chalcolithic Period within and near the region were examined. Findings from these settlements, their location, environmental characteristics, stratigraphy, architecture, ceramics, metal objects, other small finds, and burial customs were investigated one by one and were reflected. Beycesultan Höyük, which has been excavated and continues, and Kuruçay Höyük, whose excavation has been completed, are at an important point in terms of reflecting the Late Chalcolithic Period Cultures of this region. Apart from these two settlements, the Bağbaşı Settlement, which was excavated, also provides important data in terms of illuminating the period. The cave sites in the Katran Mountains in Antalya, where excavations and surveys were made, were also examined in this study and their findings from this period were discussed. Besides, the surveys carried out in the region have been added to the thesis content. The settlements that are examined by categories and localization and the findings from these settlements are important in terms of illuminating the Late Chalcolithic Period.
