Abstract (EN)
Today GPS is the most common position finding system available. Blind people, who relatively have a little advantage of using technology, are not able to use all advantages that a GPS provides. In this thesis, a mobile direction support system was designed and implemented for visually impaired individuals. Gazi University central campus was chosen as test environment. The coordinates of key points of the campus were measured and recorded into system. The system was tested by a visually impaired volunteer in the campus area. Results show that the mobility of a visually impaired person in campus achieved precisely without any help of other people
