Abstract (EN)

Today, the opportunities offered by technology and competitive market conditions have caused people to be exposed to too many messages and content. When this is the case, it becomes increasingly difficult to convey the right message to people, to be the preferred brand or product. In today's world, where the competitive environment is growing, marketing experts and companies are not only engaged in classical marketing activities. In this environment we live in, it has become mandatory to engage in innovative activities with an interdisciplinary perspective in order to be a successful brand and stand out. This study focuses on the importance of graphic design, one of the visual communication design applications, to be a successful brand. In this study, Apple, one of the most valuable companies of today, was selected as the sample. With emphasis on computer models from Apple products; product designs, store design, advertising campaigns, advertising images and the common language used in all these designs were examined. The use of design forces that are part of Apple's success is emphasized. In order to reveal the importance of design and the perception it creates, information was given about the processes of graphic design applications. Phenomenology, a qualitative research method, was used within the scope of the study. The documents that make up the sample of the study were selected based on the typical case sampling technique. The documents forming the sample were examined within the scope of document analysis technique. The contribution of visuality and graphic design has been demonstrated in the success of a brand and its worldwide growth by creating brand value.
