Abstract (EN)
It is very important to gain everything that museum education in Visual Arts classes can provide, because it will help us pass on our cultural heritage and awareness of museums to children.Activities and illustrations that can attract the attention of children can be accepted as the best method to instill museum awareness in children.The purpose of this study is the utilization of the Illustration technique with the aim of Museum Education in Visual Arts classes and evaluating the views of first grade Primary School Visual Arts lesson teachers on the activity game that was prepared for this purpose.The data of this study was obtained by the analysis of the answers that first grade Primary school Visual Arts lesson teachers at six primary schools in the province of Balıkesir in 2010 ? 2011 school year gave to open ended questions on a five question interview form. The data was obtained by the way of interview using the qualitative data collection method.At the end of the study, the teachers emphasized that education material using the Illutration technique affected the success in class in a positive way and that the preparation of this material in the form of a game would help the students participate in the lesson with more willingness.All the teachers who were interviewed held the view that the guide book for the Visual Arts lesson that is related to the museum education was insufficient and that they were experiencing difficulties with resources and materials related to museum education and that it was neccessary to use this study as education material in classes.Uggestions have been developed based on the results obtained in the study.Key words: Visual Arts Lesson, Museum Education, Education, Illustration, Visual Arts Education
