Abstract (EN)
In this research, which aims to question the artistic and pedagogical possibilities revealed by a/r/tography in developing the professional autonomy of pre-service visual arts teachers and to take pre-service teachers to the discovery of autonomous teacher identity starting from themselves through experience-based practices, a/r/tography method, which is an art-based research methodology, was used. In the study, which took place in the Spring Semester of the 2022-2023 academic year with the participation of eight pre service teachers and the researcher who continue their education at Eskişehir Anadolu University, Faculty of Education, Art and Art Education Program and take the "Visual Arts Learning and Teaching Approaches II" course, data were collected through researcher and participant diaries, individual and focus group interviews, and researcher observations. In the study in which rhizomatic data analysis was used, the data were made sense of with rhizome maps showing the associations between concepts.
