On image processing technology

In this study, it is aimed to help the studies to be done in different areas where digital image processing will be used by giving place to the image processing methods and the mathematical operations used in these methods. In the introductory of this thesis, which consists of six chapters, present brief information about formation of photographs and then in the second chapter explained by giving image examples about different types of imaging. In the third chapter, after the analog signals are explained, the conversion of analog signals to digital signals, the applications used in the conversion, black&white photographs and color photographs are explained. In the fourth chapter, after giving the mathematical form of the transformations used for different purposes such as image sharpening, compression, blurring, obtaining data from the image and evaluating the data, the photographs used in these transformations are compared with some examples. In the fifth chapter, general filters used in transformation functions, properties and mathematical forms of filters are given. Finally, a general evalution has been made about the field of image processing and its future.
