Abstract (EN)
Monitoring structural displacement responses can provide quantitative information for both structural safety evaluations and maintenance purposes. To overcome the limitations of conventional displacement sensors, advanced noncontact vision-based systems offer a promising alternative. In this study, a computer program that performs image – based analysis in Python programming language was written. This program, which was prepared by using OpenCV, works by using image data obtained from the camera. In addition, this thesis gives information about what the scaling factor is and how it is calculated. The program prepared in the scope of this study was utilized to monitor the displacements of a bridge model and reinforced concrete element under load within the laboratory. By comparing the results of the image – based analysis and the results obtained from the potentiometer, it was concluded that vision – based analysis methods can be used for monitoring of structures.
