Özet (EN)

In this study, crosslinked Poly(acrylamide) [P(AAm)] hydrogels were synthesized in water by free-radical polymerization, using acrylamide (AAm) as the monomer, N,N?-methylenebis(acrylamide) (BAAm) as the crosslinker, ammonium persulfate (APS) as the initiator, N,N,N?,N?-tetramethylethylenediamine (TEMED) as the activator, poly(ethyleneglycol) (PEG) which has different molecular weights and different mass fractions and NaHCO3 which has different mass fractions as pore forming agent.Synthesized crosslinked [P(AAm)] hydrogels? FTIR and SEM images were taken and characterized.Dynamic swelling tests were applied at 25 0C to investigate the swelling properties of crosslinked P(AAm) hydrogels. The swelling characterizations were done by calculating a great deal of parameters concerning swelling and difusion of water and formation of porous gels were observed as a result. All of these experiments showed that superporous P(AAm) hydrogels which are synthesized by NaHCO3 pore forming agent, have the highest swellling ratio, the largest pore volume. Water absorption capacities of synthesized hydrogels are seen as NaHCO3>PEG(6000)>PEG(3400)>PEG(1000)>PEG(400)>P(AAm) from the swelling curves according to the species of pore forming agent used in the synthesis. The biggest mass fraction of pore forming agent species gave the highest swelling ratio at these values. The effects of contact time and initial concentration of methylene blue dyestuff on adsorption was researched at 250C to remove methylene blue dyestuff by batch system. Suitability of equilibrium adsorption data for Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption isotherm model was researched, kinetic parameters were calculated by the kinetic data which is for different contact times. It was seen that methylene blue dyestuff wasn?t absorbed by P(AAm) hydrogels which are synthesized by NaHCO3 pore forming agent. The maximum adsorption capacity of PEG(6000), PEG(3400), PEG(1000), PEG(400), P(AAm) hydrogels for methylene blue dyestuff was calculated as 3,5224, 3,2202, 2,1200, 1,5200 and 1,4200 mg/g respectively. It has determined that the P(AAm) gel which is synthesized by PEG(6000) pore forming agent has a better performance than other hydrogels.
