Abstract (EN)
Sports activities are basic elements of a healthy and quality of life. Following the heart rate and SpO2 level of the people engaged in sports is a basic necessity for a sportsman following system. In addition, the data such as duration of sporting activity, distance and speed of action provides a major contribution in determining performance of a sportsman. Especially in sports such as skiing and mountain climbing it becomes a necessity to follow the sportsman?s vital functions. In this study, an instant sportsman tracking system that provides heart rate and SpO2 level measured by a pulse oximeter, speed and route information measured by a GPS module being transferred to a web server through a GSM network via GPRS module is designed and implemented. The collected data can be visualized instantly on a web site, the route followed during the sports activities and current position of the sportsman can be tracked on the map.
