Abstract (EN)

Ill ABSTRACT In this study; the views of the teachers about the targets, behaviors, contents, educational situations and dimensions of testing conditions of the printing techniques included in the teaching program of the painting lesson at the primary education - second stage have been taken. The cosmos of the study are centered around painting lesson - teachers at the primary school - second stage affiliated with the Ministry of National Education in Karabük province. The samples of painting lesson teachers at the primary education schools located in 5 educational regions in Beşbinevler quarter in Karabük province have been taken. Questionnaires were applied through interviews with 47 teachers who were included to the sample. In the analysis of the data; Excel and SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) were used and the frequency, percentage distributions and arithmetic averages of the views of teachers for each article were calculated. According to the findings of the study; teachers from other fields in addition to the painting teachers were observed to have attended the lessons. All of the teachers participating the study pointed out that time devoted to the painting lesson was inadequate that needs to be increased. Nearly all the teachers remarked that they were not able to make the students apply the printing techniques as part of the work programs due to the insufficiency of hours devoted to painting, crowded class - rooms and lack of application workshop. The teachers concur on the point that besides the fact that the target numbers were inadequate the targets are far from supporting each other. They also agreed on the point that the teachers found the content to be incompatible with the class level and hence there happen to be no applicability with respect to the content dimension concerning the printing techniques of the programs. It was put forward through the views of the teachers that not only the printing techniques of the painting lesson were inadequate but not enough attention was paid to evaluation. As a conclusion programs must be reviewed again by the specialists, taking the views of the teachers while increasing the number of hours. The findings of this study are supposed to shed light on the painting program as a lesson in the direction of the views of teachers.
