Abstract (EN)

Interdisciplinarity is defined as a kind of study that interprets and unifies information, data, techniques, channels, perspectives, concepts, and theories obtained from several disciplines. When taking into account interdisciplinary concepts in the field of art, two different tendencies could be mentioned. When the first one is interaction and relation between art disciplinaries, the other one is interaction between art notion and disciplines in the scientific and technological fields. To fulfill the task of conveying the message, which is the main purpose in graphic design, it is necessary to enter interdisciplinary relationships with many branches of art / design by using different media. In the historical process, graphical design, and some fields such as painting, sculpture, architecture, and photography affected each other by exchanging information and techniques. Nowadays, it needs to express that a successful graphical design product, that has reached to its aim, is not only in relation with disciplines being close to design, but also makes multidisciplinary interaction. Graphical design is in functional and aesthetical interaction with several technological developments from encoding to artificial intelligence and from augmented reality to dimensional printers. In this study, it has been tried to explain how graphic design is in an interdisciplinary relationship with the most recent examples.
