The effect of designment program based on interactive CD on the success of students in teaching the principles of graphic design

The primary objective of this study is to examine the effect of interactive designment learning method based on CD on the student success. A designment program based on ?interactive CD? was prepared in accordance with the interactive learning method, which is included in the multimedia training. An experimental pattern with pretest-posttest control group was used in the study. In this study, the group in which the graphic design principles were taught by means of interactive CDs was discussed as the experimental group; and the group in which this teaching process was sustained with the traditional approach was discussed as the control group.Experimental design with pretest-posttest control group was used in the study. The study was approached as experimental content and device cultivation. The cultivated learning device was applied on a total of 20 (twenty) students receiving the Education of Basic Art at Hacettepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Graphic Design. These students were separated into two groups and by this way, experimental and control groups were formed.It is seen at the end of the study that there is a significant difference between the experimental post-operative successes of the experimental group, which had learned by means of interactive CDs and the control group which is applied with traditional training. According to the findings obtained from the study, it is concluded that the learning based on interactive CD training that is applied on the experimental group is effective upon the learning levels of students regarding the graphic design principles and the student success.Keywords: Interactive Learning, Interactive CD, Principles of Graphic Design, Basic Art Education.
