Abstract (EN)

Energy is one of the foundation stones of our civilization. The development of the social and economic direction of the country is a sign of reaching the level of developed contemporary countries. With the energy production and consumption methods that can not be renewed in the current period, our energy resources are consumed and irreversible damage is caused and environmental pollution is introduced. Renewable energy sources also include solar energy. These resources are waiting to be developed. Solar energy is more advantageous than other renewable energy sources with its potential and ease of use. In this study, it is aimed to determine the electricity need of GSM base stations in rural areas and city center of Çorum province, the amount of electrical energy produced by photovoltaic systems, and the system requirements in case the electricity need is met from photovoltaic systems. Since the rural areas are far from the electricity networks, the base stations to be installed in these areas also require the installation of new electricity lines and this causes extra costs. Therefore, it seems attractive for GSM operators to prefer cost-effective PV systems in rural areas. At the same time, the system, which can also be considered when it depends on the use, the calculations and designs necessary for its use, as well as its economic viability are determined.
