Abstract (EN)

In our days electricity has been an inevitable source of energy. Depending on the development of technology, electrical devices also have kept pace with it. In addition to the rapid industrialization in the developing countries, the energy requirements from the power systems have been increased. The increment of the energy exploited from the transmission lines brings also some problems. One is the increase in active power loss in the lines. The problem can be overcome by trying to minimize through a reactive power optimization(RPO). Moreover recent studies have given importance into the change of the controlled variables, voltage deviations and the cost functions for the minimization of the active power loss. In this study, reactive power optimization has been proposed to reduce the active energy loss and that the active power loss has been taken into considiration in terms of the minimization of the voltage deviations and the cost functions of the VAr sources. System variables have been used to minimize the active power loss. Although there hasn?t been a research on the subject, there has been made RPO expremantal and current systems in many countries in the world. In recent years, heuristic methods have been implicated in the realization of the RPO. Artificial bee colony (ABC) a heuristic method, has been used in this stuyd. The variables, constraints and objective functions used in aBC have been given. The ABC algorithm has been explained by giving a sample problem.
