Abstract (EN)

The demand for electrical energy continues to increase rapidly with each passing day. Fluctuations in energy prices is a result of entry in the process of depletion of an important part of energy resources. Therefore, as a part of new regulations will be done in energy market, analyzing of resources, facilities and systems, which are needed for electric energy generation, transmission and distribution, have critical importance for electricity sector. In electrical system planning; the short, medium, long-term studies carried out for generation, transmission, distribution and consumption stages in detailed. Mathematically modeling of the energy systems has become necessary with widespread of energy usage. MAED, which reveals medium and long-term overall energy demand and electrical energy demand in the demand, used in Turkey since 1984 on the recommendation of the World Bank.In this thesis, forecasting methods of energy demand were investigated and a sample study used of the MAED model was accomplished. Keywords: Energy demand forecast, MAED model, electrical energy planning, energy market.
