Scructure and theme in Gülayşe Koçak's novels

Gülayşe Koçak has been writing literary works such as novels since 1993. Apart from novels, she is a writer with essays, articles, book introductions, books and translations in various social science fields. However, she has not been the subject of any study in New Turkish literature researches until today. So, the author's life and novels were determined to be the subject of the study. The study consists of two parts. In the first chapter, the information was given about the author's life, literary personality and her works. In the second part of the study, the four novels of Gülayşe Koçak were examined in terms of structure and theme. In addition, the findings were supported with the theoretical resources. Especially in terms of thematic analyses, disciplines such as psychology, sociology and philosophy were used. The plenitude of social themes attracted attention in the four novels written by Koçak between 1993 and 2012. These themes are living rights, land rights, environmental issues, 'we and others 'issues, minorities, gender issues, alienation, self-realization and time etc. Under the light of scientific framework, they were anatomized by being classified with quotations in the text. In conclusion part, some deductions were made on Koçak's novelism. In this context, it was determined that she attached greater importance on human and human- related things in her novels conveying the psychological destruction and anxiety of the future of today's human being.
