Analyzing the artworks of Gülsevin Kiral according to the fundemental principals of child literature

İn this research, it is aimed to examine the works of Gülsevin Kıral in accordance with the basic principles of children' s literature. The study was carried out by document analysis ( document review) method which is one of the qualitative research methods. The sample of the research; Gülsevin Kıral consists of 6 works written for chıldren of primary school age. The sample was examined according to the basic principles of chıldren' s literature such as design and painting, subject-fiction, narration, language and expression, heroes, enviroment, communication, educational and literary principles. Gülsevin Kıral's works in the field of children's literature in the framework of the basic principles of children' s literature, the fallowing conclusions have been reached: The paintings in the design and painting features of works consisted of stereotypical drawing and attention to the reality of children. The selected topics and topics ara compatible with each other and are appropriate for the age and level of understanding of child reader. The characters chosen by the children in the works and the features they showed are the characters that the child reader might want identify with. Rich environment and messages are used in the works. Language and expression in the works will support the linguistic development of the child reader. When the works are considered in terms of educational and literary principles, it is determined that the author is trying to create a sensitivity towards the reader against human, nature and life. Based on all these results, the works examined were shaped according to the basic principles of children' s literature.
