Abstract (EN)

In our study, we examined the poetic language of Gülten Akın, one of the 21st century poets, with her contributions with her poetry and prose. While doing this analysis, we first focused on what the poetic language is and examined the features that distinguish the poetic language from other types of languages. We tried to determine that language is the element that makes poetry poetry by giving examples from Gülten Akın's books "Sığda", "Red Karanfil" and "Laments and Folk Songs", which received an award from the Turkish Language Association. We emphasized the difference between the syntax of poetry and the syntax of prose and touched upon the importance of syntax in constructing poetry. Separate titles were opened to examine the formal features of the poem, and separate titles were opened to examine the imagery and metaphor. While examining the findings, we came to the conclusion that Gülten Akın benefited from all the possibilities of Turkish and tried to express this. The data obtained after examining the poetic language of Gülten Akın, who did not neglect folk sayings, idioms, examples of local dialects, metaphors and coining new words, led us to the conclusion that the poetic language differs from the standard language. Deviations from standard language also helped us when conducting reviews.
