Abstract (EN)

In this study, optimum conditions for silver nanoparticle synthesis were determined from Altınbaşak plant (Solidago virgaurea L.) and Öksürük (Tussilago farfara L.) plant extracts using green synthesis method. The amount of AgNO3 required for silver nanoparticle synthesis, mixing time, temperature, and pH effects were investigated. For silver nanoparticle synthesis; the ratio of AgNO3 to plant extract (1:1), temperature (25 °C) and mixing time (24 hours) were determined. To determine the surface characterization and structural properties of silver nanoparticles; TEM, FTIR, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer analyzes were completed. Analysis results indicated that the particles are nanosized and contain silver. Silver nanoparticle doped nanofiber production from PLA polymer was completed by electrospin method. Nanofiber was produced by adding 0.5% and 1% silver nanoparticles to 8% PLA solution. SEM, TEM, XRD and FTIR analyzes were performed for the structural properties and surface characterization of nanofibers. Antibacterial activity of nanofibers was determined by applying agar diffusion method to Escherichia coli bacteria. Antibacterial activity increased due to the increase in the amount of silver nanoparticles.
