Özet (EN)

In this study, the research on antimicrobial textile was done using the silver salt. Silver nitrate was used as silver salt. As textiles, the socks which were obtained from cotton and wool fibers, were used. Silver nitrate was applied to socks using laboratory type paint device at high temperature. The application of silver nitrate to cotton socks and wool socks was at the pH 9 and pH 5, respectively. The antimicrobial activity tests were applied to both silver nitrate and socks which were obtained from the implementation of silver nitrate. For determining the antimicrobial activity, the broth microdilution test was used for silver nitrate and the disc diffusion method was used for the socks. The antimicrobial activity tests were applied Bacillus cereus, Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhimurium, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterococcus faecalis, Listeria monocytogenes, Staphylococcus aureu and Shigella dysanteria bacteria types; Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast type; Aspergillus niger fungus type.
