Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, patterns of jingle rugs were examined in terms of figural and plastic values. Investigation method of the study is screening method, one of the qualitative research methods. After resources in Turkish and foreign languages were searched and classified, they were put in order chronologically. Patterns of jingle rugs, which are the main subject of the study, were examined in terms of plastic values as well as their figural values which come from the past to the present. In the first part of the study, the purpose of the study, its importance, scope and method were touched. History of jingle rugs, preparation of weaving yarns used in rugs and resources including patterns used in jingled rugs and their formation were mentioned. In the second part, the figurative features of jingle rugs motifs were evaluated. In the third part of the study, jingle rugs motifs were evaluated using traditional techniques and photos of waving samples composed of madders in terms of dot-dash, fiber, light-shadow, color, rhythm, direction-move, value, measurement-range as plastic values.
