Ithas neighborhoods with Bingöl, Malatya, Tunceli, and Diyarbakır cities on the east, west, north, and South sides of itrespectively.Gümüşkavak disrict had been in the form of a village settling until 1982 year. It can not be said that it is eludedfrom this appearance although its population has been increased with migration, and new buildings. Also populationdoesn't fit with the largeness of the settlement region.The avenues, and streets, formed as a result of reorganizations in the Gümüşkavak Street done by the Elazığmunicipality, has been reconstructed yet and new buildings haven't shown themselves. Gümüşkavak district'sappearance has remained far from a modern city's appearance.Gümüşkavak district has a settling area which has been founded on a 92 hectare area. This area is very smallwith respect to investigated area. Settling of the district demonstrates a village appearance as a result of existing thenewer and all buildings together.Gümüşkavak district shows an economical structure based on agriculture. Also agriculture and stock-breedingare the subsistence of the district's people.The problems of the district can be solved with cooperation of the official, and the private foundations.
