Fictional space and new story making strategies in contemporary art practices

There is a similarity between the way we experience the space and our ability to use language. Language games, that seek to choose, position, create meaning, sometimes distort and differentiate words, create pauses, movements, jumps or breaks, just like the experiences of the place. For this reason, the story and the space experiences begin on the routes where the steps come together and disperse below. In these routes, the steps that weave the space and give it an identity, just like the words that weave a text, try to construct the meaning by arranging them. Searching for the space at the level of language and image, on the other hand, offers an interval where the physical bond established with the space allows the imaginary to pass. Just as words find their places by settling on the page, the image settles in environments such as the canvas surface, the artist's workshop, the gallery space or the public space and nature space, transforming these environments into places associated with reminiscences and memory, in a sense, it spatializes them. Just as space makes room for our physical existence in the world, works of art determine the boundaries of existence through spaces and thus can take their place in the flow of daily life. The work of art, which permeates the everyday language and produces different meaning tricks here, is carried from places to narratives and ensures that the work assumes a plural language. The space of the narrative appears as the place that provides this pluralization and exposes the work to different readings. The work, which has become pluralized with different spatial configurations such as narrative plane, gallery space, and virtual environment, acquires a different language setup in each new transfer. Thus, the work, which can keep its own area of existence alive, becomes a sociological object as a part of daily life.
