Abstract (EN)

This research, conducted in 2021 during the second cropping season at the Research and Application Field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Çukurova University, aimed to determine the potential impacts of drought stress on grain yield in current soybean varieties. Twenty-three soybean varieties were cultivated under full irrigation (I100) and limited irrigation (I50) conditions. The study examined various traits including leaf chlorophyll concentration, root angle, plant height, pod setting period, vegetative period, first pod height, number of nodes, branches, and pods per plant, number of seeds per pod and plant, 100-seed weight, grain yield, harvest index, biological yield, oil and protein content in seeds, and oil yield. The Adel variety exhibited the highest grain yield at 408.3 kg/ha under full irrigation and 290.0 kg/ha under limited irrigation. Upon analyzing trait relationships, grain yield exhibited significant positive correlations solely under irrigated conditions with harvest index and oil yield (r=0.587** and r=0.970** respectively), while showing a significant negative correlation with plant height (r=-0.462*).
