Abstract (EN)
With the rapid advancement of technology and the increasing demand for energy, the installation of solar power plants (SPP) has become widespread. This, in addition to the ongoing studies in SPPs, has also brought along endeavors aimed at enhancing energy quality. In this thesis, the aim was to conduct an analysis on the induction of noise characterization in large and small-scale power plants onto environmental devices. Polycrystalline and perc monocrystalline solar panels were selected and the GES model was established in the laboratory environment. Depending on the panel type and the load characteristics connected to the output, conducted emission noise and radiated emission noise were measured. In addition, electromagnetic fields were analyzed through antenna approaches by modeling the common mode and differential mode currents circulating within the components of the PV system, which are generated and flow among the components of the SPP system, for the radiated emissions they might produce in their frequency components. In addition, the effects of noise currents that may occur in SPP components were modeled with equivalent circuit models and analyses were conducted on simulation models. The antenna behaviors of PV structures and cabling systems have been emphasized for the analysis of radiated emissions or ambient noise sources at radio frequency in SPP components, and the s-parameter of radiation characteristic for solar panel has been examined. Measurements were made in Akdeniz University Industrial and Medical Applications Microwave Application and Research Center laboratories. In addition to model and laboratory environment noise analysis, electromagnetic field levels of 2 high-power field and roof type SPPs (1 plant, 1 roof) have been determined. As a result, in the thesis study, the findings obtained by conducting noise analyzes related to transmission, radiation, common mode, differential mode and electromagnetic field levels related to SPP components have been presented in the thesis. It has been observed that frequencies can be exceeded at some frequency points when the load characteristics change, and it has been observed that CM and DM currents have a higher electric field inducing capacity than DM currents, even though they have low values in the radiation analysis.
