Özet (EN)
In order for all devices and equipment used in daily life to operate normally and maintain their performance throughout their lifespan, certain electrical limitations are required, and these limitations are defined as energy quality. Energy quality is of great importance to both energy producers and consumers. In this context, compliance with specific power parameters and standards ensures that energy quality is maintained at a high level, thereby allowing quality electrical energy to be transmitted to the end user. Measuring power quality parameters plays a crucial role in preventing potential problems in power plants and the devices connected to them. The rapid detection of problems, finding solutions, and preventing system failures are vital. To determine technical quality in power plants, measurement principles, technical quality parameters and limit values, technical quality measurements, evaluation of measurement results, and the execution of necessary operations ensure the preservation and continuity of technical quality. The concept of power quality plays a decisive role in the integration of distributed generation systems into the grid and is of critical importance. Solar Energy Systems (GES) and similar systems connected to the grid are considered distributed generation systems. During the integration of such systems, various issues such as voltage fluctuations, harmonic distortions, increases in short-circuit current levels, behaviors during and after faults, and grid voltage/frequency changes may occur. In this context, advanced technological solutions such as D-STATCOM (Distributed Static Compensator) can be used to effectively manage these power quality problems. D-STATCOM enhances the stability and reliability of the grid by balancing voltage fluctuations, providing reactive power compensation, and reducing harmonic distortions in grid-connected systems. Therefore, in the planned thesis study, these integration difficulties will be examined in detail, with the aim of overcoming these problems through suggestions developed using solutions such as D-STATCOM.
