Abstract (EN)
Solar energy has become one of the most increasing renewable energy sources in recent years. Positive developments such as the decrease in cell costs in the panel, ease of installation, increase in efficiency by continuous improvement of panel technologies, increase in panel power per m², government incentives and purchase guarantee of the produced energy have made investors prefer solar energy to meet their electricity needs. The Ministry of Energy aimed to increase the rate of renewable energy use. In line with this goal, it is desired to increase renewable energy investments through various mechanisms. With the increase in energy investments, the feasibility of investments has become more important. Before making their investments, investors want to see in which region the system efficiency will be high, annual energy production, amortization period, losses in the system and cash flows. These demands of the investor are Pvsyst, Pvsol, PVGIS etc. available through the programmes. In this thesis, three different solar power plants, two of which are rooftop and one of the land, in Uşak and Kayseri were simulated with Pvsyst, Pvsol and PVGIS simulation programs, and the simulation data obtained were compared with the actual values and the accuracy rates of the software were compared. When the results of the simulation studies were examined, the results were close to each other in the simulation studies carried out using different databases in the same simulation program. When the power plant performance ratios realized and obtained as a result of simulation studies are compared, the closest results to the real values were obtained as a result of the simulation made using the Meteonorm database in the Pvsyst simulation program with an error margin of 3.83%. When the simulation studies made with the Pvsol simulation program using the same database were examined, it was seen that the margin of error was 4.84%, and the results that were farthest from the real values were obtained with the simulation studies performed with the PvGIS simulation program.
