Abstract (EN)
The Sun and its chaotic nature have been known and studied by scientists for many years and is still not fully understood. For it to be fully understood, forecasting methods and analyses need to be developed and advanced levels. In this way, the scope of our knowledge on areas such as space weather, climate, solar system, and the measures that can be taken will also improve. Based on all these requirements, this thesis focuses on solar energetic particles (SEPs), an important and relatively difficult to understand component of space weather. Solar flares and sunspot groups are also included to understand the nature of SEPs. Cross-correlation analysis was performed to understand the relationship between them, and Multi-Taper Method (MTM) analysis, which works with high accuracy on continuous data, was applied to determine the similarity of their periods to the Sun and solar flares. In addition, solar proton events (SPEs) were also analyzed to extend the scope of the thesis and to improve the predictions. As a result of the thesis, the dependence of SEPs on the Sun and solar activity has been demonstrated and it has been concluded that SEPs can be used in the prediction of SPEs. It was found that the most complex sunspot groups and higher energy flares have the potential to produce higher SEPs.
