Abstract (EN)
The use of membrane technologies in the treatment of domestic / urban wastewater is increasing day by day. In addition, in recent years in Turkey, membrane technologies have started to find application area. Since membrane processes can be operated at longer sludge ages, mixed liquid suspended solids (MLSS) and lower hydraulic retention time compared to other commonly used biological treatment methods, they can provide advantages with lower space requirements, less sludge production and better effluent water quality. In Turkey, only carbon removal is aimed in MBR processes built for domestic wastewater. In this research; As the system design, membrane bioreactor (MBR) treatment system designed to remove the biological carbon (C), nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) was designed and the packet MBR treatment unit was installed in Konya urban wastewater treatment plant for operation. The 80 m3/day package MBR system was fed by wastewater passing through the coarse screen and the efficiency of the developed system C, N, P was investigated. In addition, the energy produced by the solar panels integrated in the package MBR system was also examined. Thus, with the implementation of renewable energy assisted treatment facilities, has been evaluated for the sector which will be directed to energy neutral and energy positive wastewater treatment plants in the future. C, N and P are designed and operated in order to perform the removal of the wastewaters of Konya with the MBR plant designed and operated, chemical oxygen demand (COD), suspended solids (SS), total nitrogen (TN) and total phosphorus (TP) parameters in the removal efficiency of %93.8, %97.8, %53 and %83 were obtained. It is considered that the MBR process can be an alternative to the treatment process which can remove N and P to be able to discharge to sensitive areas especially in small settlements and also it can be an important alternative in terms of high processing efficiencies as well as providing different water reuse alternatives.
