Abstract (EN)

Absorption cooling system; is one of the environmentally friendly systems that use renewable energies such as solar, geothermal energy or waste heat as an external heat source. In this study, a solar energy-based single effect absorption cooling system is investigated. There are many absorbent and refrigeration pairs used in the absorption cooling system. In this study, LiBr-water pair is chosen as the fluid pair in the cooling system to be used for cooling of the food products and air conditioning. Firstly, mass and energy equations were obtained depending on the selected study parameters and thermal power and heat transfer areas of each component were calculated. Besides, the heat capacity of the absorber which is one of the important components of the system and flows' heat transfer coefficients in it were calculated in MATLAB environment. The obtained numerical results were compared with the existing studies in the literature and verified.
