An analysis on the effects of adding a solar chamber method on interior heat in passive system benefiting from solar energy: Case of İstanbul

Today, many problems caused by the use of artificial energy are suffered all over the world. Within the framework of the process of search for a solution to these problems, alternative energy sources are emerging as the new trend. Solar energy, which is one of the renewable/recyclable energy sources, has become widespread in many areas. In this study, the effects of an additional solar room for benefiting from solar energy in passive system will be examined. The results which will come out with the help of the program we will use are meant to be exemplary sources for the future studies with wider scopes. Section 1 : The reasons and the necessity of the subject, importance and utilization areas of solar energy, importance of passive system usage of solar energy, Section 2 : Solar energy and benefiting from solar energy in architecture, Turkey?s benefiting situation from sun. Section 3 : Passive benefiting from solar energy which make up the major theme of the whole study and its utilization methods on the constructions are examined in a deeper sense, Section 4 : These systems? effects on the constructional design are discussed; in passive systems, criteria affecting architectural design in terms of layout and structure are defined, Section 5 : The effect of the method of adding a solar chamber in residences on the interior heat and heat losses are examined, Section 6 : Deducted results and recommendations are explained.
