Passive utilizing solar energy in sustainable architecture

Severe environment problems created the sustainability concept which have been appeared recently and effected the architecture. Solar energy which is one of the most important clean and renewable sources, have utilized solar rays of thermal features in providing the sustainable architecture.In the context of this research, basic principles in utilizing solar energy in passive systems and the importance of passive systems in sustainable architecture are considered. Moreover, an example building integrated with a passive system was evaluated with a computer programme.This study has eight sections.First section: The objective, problem and the necessity of the research is explained.Second section: The aim and reasons of the occurence of the sustainability; the methods of utilizing solar rays and alternative energy sources are evaluated.Third section: Design parametres of sustainable architecture, urban planning; types of the sustainable buildings as ecology, intelligent, zero energy, energy efficient building are explained.Fourth section: The methods of utilizing solar energy in architecture that are called active and passive systems and the varieties about the subject are explained. The methods of solar energy in architecture have been considered in the form of different titles.Fifth section: Passive methods of utilizing solar energy in architecture, the design parametres of building and locations are explained. The measures or steps that has to be taken into account for different cases.Six section: Passive methods of utilizing solar energy in design process has explained from primary design process to construction process.Seven section: As a simulation study, a greenhouse was integrated with a house and the efficiency of this system was evoluated by a computer programme. The variations in the indoorair temperatures were given with tables, graphs.Eight section: Conclusions and suggestions have been appraised.Key words: Passive Utilizing, Solar Energy, Utilizing Passive System Solar Energy, Sustainable Architecture,
